I studied wellness, nutrition, supplements, Western Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, body work, and exercise science. Nothing completely matched my interest — until I discovered Chinese Medicine.
This discipline resonated with me immediately. So without further thought, Acupuncture, Qigong, Herbal Medicine, Taiji and all of the other facets of Chinese/Eastern Medicine became my way of being and teaching.
Acupuncture Center Decorah was founded in 2013 as a place for people to experience Chinese Medicine and other healing practices through private healing sessions, group classes, and community workshops — a reputable clinic for your holistic healthcare needs.
Brenda's Philosopy
My philosophy is my tagline: Be Vital Now! Why only presume when we can “be”? Why only be “well” when we can be “vital”? Why next time, when there is “Now”? Be Vital Now!
There is more to health than simply being disease-free or pain-free.
These things are important, and we strive to achieve them. Beyond that we go a little further to see that all of your systems are functioning at their highest capacity so that you are strong, content, peaceful, clear, joyful, and are able to live the fullest life possible.
After all, we have the choice to be healthy or thrive, to live or be alive, and to seek fulfillment or overflow.
“One wants the the heart, mind, and will to be concordant, and the vital energies to flow. When this is happening, agents of disorder (sickness) have nowhere to abide and pathology has nowhere to be produced.”

Treatment Approach
I tailor treatments to each individual, using various modalities, to provide a profound healing experience.
Treatments seek to find and address the cause of an imbalance, stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal, and fortify on all levels — emotional, spiritual, psychological and physical. Multiple disciplines may be combined together for your treatment to provide the most comprehensive care possible.
As patient and practitioner, we work together to help you become vital on all levels.
We work at the root level to treat the cause of imbalance. We work with movement, flow, balance, connection, integration so that you can maintain wellness in your daily actions.
