The Center
Acupuncture came to Decorah after an innocent visit to the town turned into an unexpected relocation adventure. Before I knew what happened, I was transitioning from the West to the Midwest, and sharing Eastern Medicine in a place called the Driftless Region, in a building called the Acupuncture Center.
The Acupuncture Center is a central place to receive treatments, learn about Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine, attend lectures and classes, explore natural concepts to health and wellbeing, and find your personal center.
Much like the People it now hosts, The Acupuncture Center site underwent healing and restoration.
The room placement, color choice, and general set up of the clinic follow the Five Elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood), Five Directions (North, South, East, West, and Center), Yin /Yang, Jing, Qi, Shen, and other principles of Chinese Medicine for proper flow.
The Acupuncture Center is located in the center of the US, in the center of the town Decorah, in the center of the Driftless Region of Iowa. It provides a central place for healing and wellness education. In order to have a direction, one must have a center. Welcome.
